Description

Gaa Gallery is pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at the 2018 edition of Code Art Fair (Booth 064) for the first time, presenting a carefully curated selection of work by artists Gary Kuehn, Dani (Leventhal) ReStack and Erin Woodbrey.

Gary Kuehn, a prominent figure of Process Art and Post-Minimalism, will exhibit recent and historic works on paper alongside bronze and steel sculpture. This selection showcases Kuehn's diverse ouvre, which addresses the limitations and freedoms of form, material, process, order, and chaos.

Alongside Kuehn will be the tactile collages, drawings, and video works of Dani (Leventhal) ReStack, a multidisciplinary artist, who investigates sensorial and emotional states via juxtaposition and the intersection of stories. Incorporating personal photographs, film stills slivers of paper, fur and found objects, ReStacks' work culls from her own life and the lives of those around her, to produce images that are simultaneously challenging, unnerving, and tender.

In this constellation, Erin Woodbrey will present photographic works on handmade paper and a recent series of ceramic sculptures constructed from wooden armatures and discarded clothing. Woodbrey whose body of cross-disciplinary work utilizes repetition, silence, and the physical isolation of organic and static elements to parse the fused qualities of quotidian experience, reveals her aesthetic interests in the intersections of the natural world and constructed space, stillness, document, and witness.
